Data Collection Policy
Last updated: September 2026
This Data Collection Policy sets out exactly what personal data DokLink asks for, why we ask for it, and who it may be shared with. It is the detailed companion to our Privacy Policy, and using DokLink means you have reviewed and agreed to both.
Identity and Profile
Collected
Name, date of birth, gender, pronoun, phone number, secondary email, profile picture, permanent and current address.
Purpose
To create and identify your account, and to fill in your bookings and prescriptions correctly.
Shared with
Hospitals and doctors, only for a booking, admission, or treatment you make with them.
Aadhaar App Verification
Collected
Name, date of birth, gender, and address, signed by UIDAI through the Aadhaar app. Never your Aadhaar number, since UIDAI does not offer it to us as a claim we can request.
Purpose
To verify your identity without you needing to type your details in by hand.
Shared with
Nobody. This information stays with DokLink.
National Health ID Linking
Collected
Your Ayushman Bharat Health Account details, only if you choose to link one, through an Aadhaar based one time password, your driving licence, or a basic demographic check.
Purpose
To connect your DokLink account with India's national health ID system, entirely at your choice.
Shared with
The National Health Authority, since linking a health ID is inherently a shared record with that system.
Health Information
Collected
Allergies, current medications, existing medical conditions, and past surgeries, if you choose to add them. A short description of your condition if you make an emergency bed booking. Treatment records if a hospital adds them through DokLink.
Purpose
To give hospitals the context they need to treat you quickly and safely.
Shared with
The hospital and doctor involved in your booking or treatment.
Emergency Location
Collected
Your device's location, only at the moment you make an emergency bed booking.
Purpose
To show you the nearest hospitals with an available bed when it matters most.
Shared with
The hospital you book with, so they know where you are coming from.
Insurance and Payment
Collected
Your insurance policy details and card image, if you add them. Payment order and transaction identifiers generated when you pay through DokLink, along with billed and claimed amounts. We do not collect your card or bank details directly.
Purpose
To process payments and coordinate insurance claims on your behalf.
Shared with
Our payment processor, and your insurer or third party administrator for a claim.
Booking and Appointment Data
Collected
Hospital, doctor, date, time, status, and any notes attached to a booking.
Purpose
To manage your appointments and bed reservations.
Shared with
The hospital and doctor involved in that booking.
Account Security Data
Collected
One time password delivery records, login attempt logs including IP address and device information, consent records, and a push notification token if you enable notifications.
Purpose
To keep your account secure and to send you notifications you have asked for.
Shared with
Our SMS provider, email provider, and notification service, strictly to deliver the message itself.
Your Consent
We ask for your explicit permission before collecting Aadhaar based verification data, health information, or linking a national health ID. You are always shown what is being asked for before you agree to it.
Withdrawing Consent
You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting us. If the consent you withdraw is needed for a specific service, such as Aadhaar verification or health ID linking, we may not be able to continue providing that particular service to you, though the rest of your account is unaffected.
Your Rights and Contact
You can ask to access, correct, or delete your data at any time by emailing our Grievance Officer at grievance@doklink.in. For the full picture of how we handle your information, including retention and security, see our Privacy Policy. To delete your account specifically, see our account deletion page.
